Consent items included approval of minutes from March 23 and April 6, 2026; vendor and benefit checks, wire transfers and electronic funds transfers totaling $2,221,074.40; Resolution R-26-2060 (Amendment #1 to the Use Agreement with Bigfoot Football Club for use of Summit Park); Resolution R-26-2061 (authorizing the City Manager to join Omnia Partners, Public Sector Inc., cooperative purchasing); and Resolution R-26-2053 (authorizing the City Manager to execute a Human Services Grant Agreement with Tahoma School District for $80,000 to fund behavioral health and wellness programming).
Council also approved Resolution R-26-2059, authorizing the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with DKS Associates to develop an Active Transportation Plan; the motion to approve was made by Councilmember Dana Parnello and seconded by Councilmember Syd Dawson and carried 6-0. Councilmembers Les Burberry, Dana Parnello and Deputy Mayor Didem Pierson were appointed to the Active Transportation Plan taskforce.
Other procedural approvals included scheduling a Roberts Rules of Order (parliamentary) training that will include commissioners and Council participation, and unanimous approval to participate in the Washington Collaborative Elected Leaders Institute (WA-CELI).
The meeting concluded with routine City Manager updates and announcements; Mayor Sean P. Kelly adjourned the meeting at 8:20 p.m.
