During the public comment period, Erica Daniels provided a series of community and Chamber updates to the La Paz County Board of Supervisors on April 20.
Daniels said the Moonshot Bridal Arizona pitch competition is scheduled for April 28 and is open to participants across La Paz County. She invited businesses to attend Chamber Membership 101 sessions on May 13 at Arizona Western College and said the Chamber rescheduled its May mixer for May 28 to avoid graduation conflicts. Daniels also said the Chamber is partnering with the Arizona Game and Fish Department and the La Paz County Sheriff's Office for an annual life-jacket exchange on May 16 at the Boating Safety Building.
Highlighting local tourism and recreation, Daniels said registration for the 48th annual Parker tube float is progressing and that "we are at 1000 registered participants as of today." She noted a Channel 12 television segment featuring La Paz County and reporter Kurt Bagby will air the next day and encouraged community support.
Daniels closed by thanking the board for its support. No formal action on these items was taken by the board; the announcements were informational public comments.
