La Paz County supervisors approve consent agenda, receive two banking proposals

On item 7, Treasurer Leah Castro presented the two banking proposals the county received and told the board the submissions must be received in the public record under state procurement rules. Castro said county staff had issued the RFP and received two responses by the 10 a.m. deadline; she opened the envelopes and identified one submission tied to Dana James/Western Alliance Bank and another from "National Bank, Arizona." Castro told the board she and county staff will review the proposals and return with a recommendation at a later date.
Castro referred to a state statute when explaining the procedural requirement to receive the proposals at the meeting; county minutes and staff will record the statutory citation and the formal procurement timeline before a final selection is made.
