The board also approved multiple contract renewals and related items on voice votes or roll call: Medical Assistant I and Medical Assistant II contracts, a lab scientist contract renewal, an independent provider contract renewal, a residential lease renewal for a municipal property near White Pass, and a pharmacy manager contract renewal (the pharmacy manager’s pay was decreased by $900/month in exchange for a change in housing subsidy in the new contract). All were approved by roll call with six yes votes.
The executive director and committee chairs framed these approvals as routine operational matters vetted in committee; members asked clarifying questions about supervision and grant compliance for provider contracts and confirmed that some independent contractors functionally serve as long-term staff.
