Among the actions, the council adopted ordinances associated with development agreements and zone changes, approved a moratorium amendment on electric‑vehicle parking requirements for certain nonresidential/industrial EV‑capable spaces, and approved technical corrections to the municipal building and fire codes (items 52–54) after staff summarized the adjustments and ASHER reporting requirements. Lynn Nilsen of Building and Fire Safety described corrections that restore intended code references and add an active‑shooter hostile event reporting (ASHER) submittal requirement.
The council made several appointments: representatives to the Southern Nevada Council of Governments and the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority and confirmed a planning commission appointment. Separately, staff presented a notice‑of‑intent resolution to sell about 46.17 acres east of Galleria Drive with approximately 21.68 acres permanently designated as open space; staff said the minimum bid will be $12,870,000, the property will be advertised Dec. 17 and bidding is scheduled to open Feb. 23. The council also approved a property‑marketing agreement with CREXI to handle marketing for a 2.5% fee paid from closing proceeds.
Votes on the ordinances, appointments and resolution carried on voice votes; a small number of abstentions were recorded on select items. The actions advance technical code corrections, channel site marketing for the large parcel, and place new appointments on regional bodies that advise on transportation and housing.
