The Board of County Commissioners of Columbiana County approved several routine administrative actions at its Sept. 10, 2025 meeting, including authorization for the County Recorder to sign an eRecording agreement and a set of appropriations and vendor payments.
Commissioner Paparodis moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the Sept. 3, 2025 meeting; Commissioner Ginter seconded the motion. The motion carried with Commissioners Paparodis and Ginter voting yes and Commissioner Halleck recorded as abstaining.
The board approved travel to the Ohio NARCO Conference Sept. 15–17, 2025 in Columbus for employees listed as Smith and Grodhaus at a listed cost of $360.00. Commissioner Ginter moved the travel approval and Commissioner Paparodis seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Under a single Then & Now motion, the commissioners approved multiple vendor payments: $1,000 to Campbell Signs & Apparel (Veterans), $2,375 to Stepmobile LLC (Adult Probation), $10,000 to Port Authority for Columbiana County (Development), $8,393.03 to Drug Task Force (Sheriff), $1,899.96 to Paul Morris Auto Repair (Sheriff), and two $2,000 payments to the Cuyahoga County Coroner (Coroner). Commissioner Paparodis moved the Then & Now approvals and Commissioner Ginter seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved several appropriations, including $200,000 to account A00-E01-E-0002, $17,000 to B30-B30-E-0002, $1,100 to B30-B30-E-0010, and $24,882.27 to B12-B12-D-1003. Commissioner Ginter moved the appropriations and Commissioner Paparodis seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Commissioner Paparodis moved and Commissioner Ginter seconded to authorize the County Recorder to sign an electronic agreement with Hopdox, LLC for eRecording services described in the motion as secure, accurate and timely through available electronic technologies. The motion passed unanimously.
The board adopted Resolution #43-2025, authorizing the County Engineer to sign applications and related forms for OPWC, SCIP and LTIP for the 2026 construction season; Commissioner Ginter moved the resolution and Commissioner Paparodis seconded. The commissioners also adopted Resolution #44-2025 renewing the Columbiana County Equal Employment Policy Statement for the County Engineer; that motion was moved by Commissioner Paparodis and seconded by Commissioner Ginter and passed unanimously.
The meeting record shows no further formal actions; Commissioner Halleck adjourned the regular session after business concluded.
