The Auglaize County Board of Commissioners met Feb. 26, 2026 and moved to approve a set of routine resolutions, authorize facility work and add to the county’s Imagination Library pledge.
Commission President John N. Bergman called the meeting to order. Commissioner David Bambauer moved to “approve the resolutions as presented”; Commissioner Douglas A. Spencer seconded and the resolutions were distributed for each commissioner’s vote and execution, the minutes say. The Board also approved the minutes of Feb. 24, 2026 after Clerk Bobbi Donovan read them.
County Administrator Erica L. Preston reported several administrative items to the Board. She said amended W-2 forms were issued for county employees who earned qualified overtime in 2025, and that the Developmental Disabilities Shared Services Agreement between the Allen and Auglaize DD boards will be ending soon. Preston told the Board the county had received a draft CDBG allocation contract for projects in St. Marys and Minster and that a Target of Opportunity monitoring visit is scheduled for April 16. She also reported asbestos removal at 120 W. Main St., Cridersville will proceed within the next two weeks and that an award for demolition will be completed.
Preston informed the Board that Waynesfield will host a grand-opening park dedication on July 25, 2026 and invited the commissioners to speak. She also reviewed information from a state-wide dog warden conference call and a virtual Sheriff’s Office meeting with Datamark about Next Gen 911 and county data. Preston said Auglaize County will host an introductory meeting with ODOT District 1 on March 25. The Board agreed to make an additional pledge toward the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
On a facilities matter, the Board authorized the quote from Alltree Tree Care to perform tree removal at Auglaize Industries. The minutes record the authorization but do not include dollar amounts or further contract details.
The meeting record shows the Board moved on to other scheduled items and adjourned at 1:15 p.m.
