"I am so grateful for this opportunity to be able to do the work here in Lynnwood," she said, adding that she and the council "share a common value system for equity and diversity" and are committed to ensuring residents "can live, work, and play in this area." She said she was "very, very grateful" for the opportunity and looked forward to beginning the work.
The council took the confirmation vote and immediately recessed for a 15-minute break; the mayor said the meeting would reconvene at the scheduled start time. No amendments, conditions or alternate motions were recorded on the confirmation; the name of the council member who moved the motion was not given on the record.
