Key contracts approved or noted in the minutes include a Spectrum Business Service Agreement to provide WAN upgrade (Voice Over IP connectivity) to Junction City Elementary School and Perryville Elementary School at a monthly amount of $352.00 for each location; a $12,500 engagement with Lightwire Theater for the "Dino-Light" performance; a $10,350 fee (plus lodging) for Chris Perondi's Stunt Dog Experience; a $3,300 pool rental from Centre College for a regional swim meet; a $2,500 ticket agreement with the Lexington Legends for a middle school reward trip; and a $4,200 agreement with LexLive for a private showing and student activities.
The consent agenda also included a variety of overnight student trip requests tied to state competitions and conferences, facility use requests for school venues, and authorization to advertise an invitation to bid for Junction City Elementary cafeteria tables. The board ratified payroll checks and direct deposit advices totaling $1,902,339.21 and general fund claims totaling $2,001,204.21.
The motion to approve the consent items was made by Jesse Johnson and seconded by Stephen Tamme and passed unanimously.
