Schuyler council approves library board appointment, library to leave ONELibrary; city attorney signals possible litigation over library water issue

Separately, City Attorney Graham reported he had received an email from the attorney on the library water issue and said he is no longer convinced mediation will suffice; he will bring a discussion about moving forward with potential litigation to the next meeting. The minutes record the attorney’s intent to return the item to the council for further direction but do not include further legal details or a timetable.
The council approved the board appointment and the consortium withdrawal in unanimous votes during the regular session.
