At its March 25 meeting, Herriman City Council approved several routine but consequential items.
Parks mowing contract: Parks staff reported 19 RFP responses for the city's mowing contract and recommended Huskies Landscaping as the highest-ranked proposer based on qualifications, schedule and overall value. Council authorized staff to enter contract negotiations with Huskies Landscaping.
Parking permit code cleanup: Council approved ordinance 2026-08 to clarify administrative authority for the Lockridge parking-permit program (moving authority to the city manager or designee) and to limit the amount of personal data collected to comply with new state privacy tools. Staff said the change does not alter permit boundaries or fees.
Water infrastructure reimbursement amendment: Council approved a first amendment to a reimbursement agreement with DAI Rosecrest LLC and Wasatch South Hills Development Company to extend the project's completion deadline to Oct. 31, 2026. Staff said two storage tanks are largely complete and work remains on a pump station; staff recommended the extension instead of requiring a large completion-assurance bond that could delay other work.
Votes and next steps: All three items passed by roll call. Staff will return with contract documents for the mowing contract and will implement the code change and track the developer agreement's completion milestones.
