Commissioners receive three bids for 2026 paving program, table award for further review

The county opened three bids for the 2026 paving program (low bid $1,495,507.70) but tabled awarding the contract pending further review by the County Engineer.
At the March 16 meeting the Fayette County Board of Commissioners opened bids for the 2026 Fayette County Paving Program. Bids received were: Cox Paving, LLC, $1,495,507.70 (low bid); Fillmore Construction, $1,584,266.00; and Neyra Paving, $2,023,736.30. The County Engineer’s estimate for the work was $1,678,522.00.
Per County Engineer Jason Little, the board voted to table a decision on award pending further review and evaluation of the bids and engineer recommendations. The motion to table was made and approved by roll call. The board recorded the bid amounts and directed that the engineer continue review before bringing a recommendation back to the commissioners.
