Clerk Kathy Sorensen presented an application for an on‑sale Sunday intoxicating liquor license for Bravo's Tequila Bar at 11712 Ulysses Lane, Suite 200. Sorensen told the council the applicants had submitted required materials and fees and that the Blaine Police Department’s background investigation "[found] no concerns." She also explained that, if approved, the licenses would be valid until June 30 and would be prorated ahead of annual renewals on July 1.
Mayor Sanders opened the required public hearing; there were no public comments, the hearing was closed, and the council approved the license by motion (moved by Councilmember Robertson, seconded by Councilmember Newland). Sorensen noted staff would conduct compliance checks with the Blaine Police Department and reminded the council that the prior restaurant’s ownership relationship with an adjacent salon — which previously allowed shared service — does not apply to this applicant.
The license approval grants Bravo's Tequila Bar the ability to sell intoxicating liquor on Sundays and will be reconciled with the city’s annual licensing cycle on July 1.
