Regina also reported that both fees were paid and stated the amount as "$2.50 for each fee for a total of $500" in the meeting record; the arithmetic in that statement is inconsistent and the exact fee amounts were not clarified during the meeting.
Jeff Moore, identified by staff as the general manager of Company Distilling and a Thompson's Station resident, answered a board member's question about how the business will serve alcohol: "1 is for on premises, so you can drink beer there. The other 1 is for off premises, meaning you can buy beer and take it home." Moore added that a tent is in place for on-site service.
A board member moved to approve the permit application and the motion received a proper second. The clerk called the roll and the transcript records the permits passing with recorded affirmative responses from Bob Whitmer, Sean Alexander, Brian Stover and Harry King; Chris White was recorded as absent. The clerk and chair confirmed the motion passed and informed the applicant that they had been granted both permits.
Earlier in the meeting the board considered the consent agenda and approved the minutes of the Sept. 10, 2024 special-called beer board meeting; Harry King said he had to abstain from that vote because he was not at the Sept. 10 meeting. The board moved to adjourn shortly after the permit votes.
The board did not record any additional conditions or amendments to the permits during the meeting. Staff and the applicant indicated all required documentation had been submitted; the clerk's arithmetic on fee totals should be confirmed with town records for the official fee amount and receipt.
