"We are committed to developing our character, selflessness and other life skills to help us throughout our lives," a team representative said during the presentation.
A trustee proposed increasing the requested amount from $500 to $700 to cover additional supplies and field needs; the motion was seconded and approved on a 4-0 vote.
Trustees wished the team a strong season and asked the group to report back on how the season goes. The donation will be executed per standard town grant or small-donation procedures.
