Jamie, planning staff, answered that the Shelby Drive widening is a state‑led project and that the presence of surveyors and appraisals is consistent with right‑of‑way acquisition steps such as surveys and appraisals to formulate offers. Jamie said the project is not scheduled for near‑term construction and is several years out and offered to pass Gioli’s contact information to the staff member who coordinates with TDOT.
Gioli provided his contact details and staff committed to follow up with the project manager.
