Council narrows focus on street repairs, prioritization and SB1 resolution deadline

Council and staff discussed how to split work into smaller contracts to move projects quickly, possible use of SB1 funding (with a July resolution deadline for certain lists), and the tradeoffs between doing an entire large project at once versus several smaller projects. Staff said one lane-specific informal bid for a section of First Street returned about $93,222 for grinding and repaving; members argued some smaller, targeted repairs could get done faster and show results to the community.
