Jonathan Hayes announced plans to restore and expand the Saint Andrews Bayview Boardwalk, saying funding is available through a Rebuild Florida Hometown Revitalization grant and the community redevelopment agency (CRA) budget. "The project aims to restore and expand the existing wooden boardwalk over the bay to help attract new business and activity to the area," Hayes said.
Hayes invited the public to a project meeting on Thursday, May 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the rotunda of City Hall to hear initial plans and provide feedback. He framed the rebuild as both a repair need and an economic development opportunity for the Saint Andrews area, and encouraged residents to participate as plans are refined.
City materials for the project and related timelines were not specified in the update; Hayes directed listeners to the city's website for more details.
