The Pittsburg County commissioners on March 30 approved an AirMedCare Network full-census membership for county employees at a cost the county clerk described as $70 per employee per year.
County Clerk Hope Trammell told the board the contract amount is $70.00 per employee per year; Commissioner Charlie Rogers moved to approve the AirMedCare contract and Mike Haynes seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
Documentation provided with the membership shows an initial calculation for census slots, a formula for adjusting the number of slots on the membership anniversary and instructions for submitting participant lists. The example membership packet lists 216 initial census slots for a total first-year cost shown as $15,120.
Trammell and county staff did not identify a separate line-item appropriation for the membership during the meeting. The contract materials indicate membership becomes effective when AirMedCare Network receives the signed agreement, payment and a completed employee census, and that memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Selman — aye; Haynes — aye; Rogers — aye. The board recorded the vote as unanimous.
