Pittsburg County District 2 and landowner agree to drainage repairs on private property

Commissioners approved an interlocal agreement April 27 between Pittsburg County District 2 and landowner Mark D. Schlueten that permits District 2 to enter private property to perform drainage corrections affecting county road drainage.
Commissioner Mike Haynes described the agreement as necessary to correct road drainage; Chairman Ross Selman moved to approve and Haynes seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The terms specify that District 2 crews may access the property to address drainage and that the highway district will repair any damage to Schlueten’s property resulting from the work. The agreement may be terminated by either party with written notice.
