The North Port Environmental Advisory Board on April 6 approved its March 2 meeting minutes after adding a clarification to record that item 6b reflected discussion of impacts to protected species rather than an economic-impact study. Robin Sandesente, a board member, moved to approve the minutes with that clarification; Casey McDowell seconded the motion and the board voted in favor.
The change grew out of a member request during roll call to ensure the minutes reflected the substance of earlier debate. "I thought it was impact on protected species," Sandesente said during the meeting, pressing for the record to match the earlier discussion.
Chair Tim Drum called for the motion and counted the voice vote after the second. The clerk advised members they could either approve the minutes with the requested change or withhold approval pending transcription review; members chose to approve with the clarification. The chair said the revised minutes will be filed with the board record for the 2025 annual report process.
The board made no further substantive changes to the March minutes and moved on to unfinished business.
