Huron County commissioners approve budget adjustments, $11,210 IT purchase and event permit

The Huron County Board of Commissioners approved several routine budget and administrative measures during its Nov. 20 regular session. Commissioners Tom Dunlap and James R. Morgan voted aye on measures that moved money between county accounts, established appropriations for the Commercial Building Department and authorized a county IT purchase.
Commissioner James R. Morgan moved to authorize appropriation adjustments within the Huron County Veterans Services Account #033 and Common Pleas Court Account #008; the resolution described transfers including a $5,000 shift from Other Expenses to Salaries in Fund 033 and reassignments totaling $17,800 across various accounts in Fund 008. The board adopted the resolution by roll call; Commissioner Harry Brady was absent and attending the OPTA Conference.
The board also accepted an Amended Certificate of Estimated Resources for Commercial Building Department Fund #186 and appropriated $15,545.65 in total: $1,300 to State Fees, $2,000 to Administration and $12,245.65 to Contract Services, under a resolution moved by Morgan and seconded by Dunlap.
Separately, the commissioners approved requests for expenditures over $5,000, including IT item IT #046-00200: an SHI purchase described as "2 Factor Tokens and Subscriptions" totaling $11,210.32. The board recorded the approvals by roll call.
As part of signings, the board approved an Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Liquor Control F-permit for the Monroeville Baseball team for a fundraising event scheduled Feb. 20–22, 2025, at the Huron County Fairgrounds Expo Building; that motion also passed by roll call.
The meeting record notes that a certified copy of each adopted resolution will be sent to the requesting department and the Huron County Auditor for recording. The meeting was adjourned at 9:19 a.m.
