Lee Tansey, identified in attendance as Huron County Engineer, said the contract represents the final step in the procurement and that "this truck will be plowing in winter 2026." The resolution notes the bid award referenced in the motion was for $107,500; a copy of the signed contract is on file with the county.
The action follows the county's procurement procedures and was adopted in an open public meeting, consistent with the resolution language citing compliance with Ohio Revised Code requirements. The equipment will be added to the engineer's fleet for road maintenance and winter operations.
