Commissioners opened multiple procurement bids for calendar year 2026 and referred them to the County Engineer for review. The board opened bids for slag, gravel, asphalt, limestone and ice-control materials (bidders included Soltis & Sons Enterprises; Fritz Enterprises; Shelly & Sands/Mar-Zane; and Kelly Paving West Virginia) and later opened bids for gasoline, diesel and kerosene (bidders included 21st Century Energy Group and Riley Petroleum Products).
The motions to open and refer the bids were made by Commissioner Ginter and Commissioner Paparodis and passed unanimously. The board did not award contracts at the meeting; submitted bids were referred to the County Engineer for evaluation and recommendation.
Next steps: the County Engineer will review bids and return recommendations to the commissioners for potential award and contract execution.
