The Columbiana County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 3 approved a set of contracts and a memorandum of understanding funded by the Senior Services Levy for the 2026 contract year.
Commissioner Paparodis moved and Commissioner Ginter seconded approval of multiple contracts covering representative payee services, extermination services and legal/public guardian services. Contracts approved included: Community Action Agency of Columbiana County (representative payee; ceiling $25,000.00); Economy Pest (extermination; ceiling $7,000.00); and a series of legal/public guardian contracts with ceilings (examples listed in the record include $30,000.00, $9,000.00 and $5,000.00 ceilings for individual attorneys/guardians). The commissioners voted unanimously.
The board also approved several additional public guardian contracts with ceilings ranging from $750.00 to $6,500.00 for named individuals. Finally, the board approved a Senior Services Levy MOU with the Probate Court for processing invoices, recorded with a ceiling of $72,000.00 for the contract period Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026.
All contracts and the MOU were authorized as budgeted items funded by the Senior Services Levy. The meeting record does not show debate or public comment on these items.
