Huron County appropriates $30,000 in Ohio EPA litter grant; tire collection set for Sept. 6

Commissioner Tom Dunlap asked whether the event covered only agricultural tires; the representative said the plan was to have dedicated trailers for agricultural and passenger tires.
Why it matters: The appropriation funds local litter-control programming and supports a planned tire-collection event intended to reduce illegal dumping and provide safe disposal options for residents and farm operators.
The motion to appropriate the funds was adopted unanimously.
