Proclamations and recognitions
The board adopted three proclamations: April 2026 as Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, April 2026 as National Autism Acceptance Month, and April 12–18, 2026 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. County human services staff and Sheriff Tyler Brown accepted the proclamations; Brown described the county’s Blue Envelope Program, an initiative to help deputies recognize and better interact with residents who have communication challenges such as autism.
