The Arapahoe County Board of County Commissioners approved the final plat for Sky Ranch filing no. 10 (PF2577) at its March 31 meeting. County planner Ray Fields told the board the proposal reduces the number of lots in Block 3 from 36 to 22 and removes an alley in Block 8 to create front‑loaded lots; staff found the project consistent with the comprehensive plan and land development code and noted adequate access and services.
Ray Fields said staff received no adverse public comments and that referral agency responses indicated the property can be served by utility and emergency services. The staff recommendation included two conditions: the applicant must make specific engineering changes identified by county engineering staff prior to final execution and no approval shall be issued in reliance on the final plat until all conditions are satisfied.
Applicant Mark Harding described the change as a market‑driven refinement of the product mix and highlighted ongoing construction including a new K‑12 school on the Sky Ranch site. Commissioner Warren Gully moved to conditionally approve the final plat and adopt the resolution in the record; Commissioner Campbell seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
The approval includes the conditions set by staff; the board noted the final plat is a significant milestone for the development.
