Tax incentive recommendations: The board adopted resolution 26-089 accepting recommendations from the Bellevue, Norwalk and Willard Tax Incentive Review Councils for ongoing tax abatement agreements. Commissioner James R. Morgan moved the resolution; Commissioner Harry Brady seconded and the vote was 3–0.
VOCA transfer: The board approved resolution 26-091 transferring $9,000 from Transfer Out Fund #099-00600-001 to the VOCA Grant Fund-B #184-10600-184 at the prosecutor’s request. The motion, moved by Commissioner Morgan and seconded by Commissioner Brady, passed unanimously.
Letter of support: The board voted to sign a letter supporting the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board (MHRSB) of Seneca, Ottawa, Sandusky & Wyandot Counties’ application to the Bureau of Justice Assistance FY25 Public Safety and Mental Health Initiative to support a short‑term rehabilitative facility described as "Dani’s Place." The letter outlines the project’s regional goals of stabilizing people with severe mental health conditions during community transition after inpatient or crisis care.
Travel and other routine business: The board approved travel for Isaac Livengood (SWMD) to a grant-writing training in Toledo April 1–2, 2026, and recorded no public comment at 9:05 a.m. The board recessed and later reconvened for public comment about possible county restrictions for large wind and solar projects; no vote on that topic was taken on March 19. The meeting adjourned at 5:32 p.m.
