Commissioners discuss Palmer Energy aggregation plan and say hecklers disrupted Sen. Husted event

Both commissioners said they attended a recent event at Sherri’s Coffee House intended to provide an opportunity to meet Senator Bob Husted, but said hired hecklers disrupted the meeting and led staff to pull the senator away quickly. Commissioner Brady criticized the disruption, distinguishing the right to peaceful assembly from behavior that interferes with officials’ ability to engage with constituents and that can endanger public order.
The board noted additional calendar items: a Transportation Improvement District meeting at 2 p.m. that same day and a previously discussed in-person meeting with the Ohio Department of Transportation tentatively scheduled for March 18, 2026. The session was brief and adjourned at 9:15 a.m.
