Tammy Osborne-Smith, Jackson County Job & Family Services Director, appeared with several staff at the April 1 commissioners meeting to speak about Child Abuse Prevention Month and to deliver the agency’s quarterly update.
Osborne-Smith reviewed ongoing programs and recent developments including Jackson County Public Transit operations, recent SNAP benefit changes and Ohio Means Jobs services administered or promoted by the office. The commissioners approved Resolution 65-26, proclaiming April 2026 as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
