Student representatives report $197,000 raised and upcoming events at Franklin Regional

Noel McGuire, a student representative, told the Franklin Regional School Board that FRM Mini Thon raised over $37,000 and that the Student Visionaries of the Year raised $160,000 and were named the 2026 Student Visionaries of the Year in the Greater Pittsburgh region. McGuire said both groups will be invited to the board meeting on May 11.
James Burke, another student representative, summarized extracurricular highlights and calendar items: band students attended PMEA All State activities, the high school will stage "12 Angry Jurors" May 1–3, and families of the class of 2026 will receive details about graduation celebrations. Burke also noted that AP tests and Keystone exams are upcoming for high-school students.
The students’ reports were presented during the superintendent’s report portion of the Committee of the Whole meeting and were followed by board acknowledgment. The board did not take action on these reports; organizers were invited to a future board meeting for formal recognition.
