Health commissioner, county agree to share costs for spring rabies clinics; dates set

Health Commissioner Kevin Aston told the Jackson County Commissioners on April 8 that the county and the Health Department will continue a cost-sharing arrangement to fund the annual rabies clinics, and he thanked local veterinarians who volunteer their time.

Following the presentation, the board approved Resolution #83-26 to formalize the ongoing partnership and to share the costs of rabies vaccinations for the upcoming clinics. The motion was made by Commissioner Paul Haller, seconded by Commissioner Donnie Willis, and passed on roll call with Commissioner Jon Hensler absent for that vote (SEG 081–082).
"Mr. Aston thanked all of our local veterinarians who donated their time to provide these clinics to the public," Kevin Aston said during his remarks (SEG 075).
