Auglaize County commissioners approve 2026 appropriation, grant applications and personnel actions

On Jan. 6, the Board of County Commissioners of Auglaize County approved the annual appropriation resolution for 2026 and a batch of administrative measures recorded in the Board's Journal.
Resolution No. 26-002 is the Annual Appropriation Resolution for 2026; the Board approved it as presented. The Clerk distributed additional resolutions, including #26-003 and #26-004, which authorize grant applications for the Sheriff's Office Grand Lake Task Force (identifiers provided in the record as 2025-DL-LEF-38161 and 2025-VC-VCR-24049).
The Board also ratified a lateral position change for Leah Shobe at the Auglaize County Department of Job and Family Services (26-005) and appointed Ryan Luiken to the position of Recycling Laborer in the Solid Waste Department (26-006). Resolution 26-007 authorized the County Auditor to draw warrants for then-and-now certificate payments.
Interim Office Administrator Amy L. Freymuth presented the minutes of Dec. 30, 2025, which the Board approved as presented. Administrator Erica L. Preston briefed the Board on draft 2026 standard operating procedure resolutions, a Brownfield grant request and IT department personnel needs during the staff meeting portion of the session.
Commissioner Douglas A. Spencer moved to approve the resolutions as presented; Commissioner David Bambauer seconded. The resolutions were distributed for each commissioner’s vote and execution. The formal texts of all resolutions are filed in the Board’s Journal.
The Board adjourned at 11:45 p.m. with the day’s business complete.
