Board recognizes two 10 Under 10 literacy finalists; announces State of the Schools event

The Robertson County School Board on March 9 recognized two students nominated for the Governor's Early Literacy Foundation "10 under 10" program.
Ms. Hayes (speaker 5) described Joshua Ambrosia Grama's progress as a reader and noted the challenges his family faces as English-language learners. "Joshua's story is one of resilience, hope, and determination," Ms. Hayes said, introducing him as a 10 Under 10 finalist.
Amanda Fields (speaker 6), principal at Heritage Elementary, introduced Elias Hill and praised his growth in reading, participation and benchmark performance. "Elias has developed a strong love of reading through hard work, curiosity, and a willingness to keep growing," Fields said.
Dr. Weeks also reminded board members that the district's State of the Schools program is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, at Springfield High School with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and a program from 9 to 10 a.m. The board congratulated the students and invited them to have photos taken after the meeting.
The recognitions were ceremonial; no board action was required.
