Residents press board on minutes accuracy, turf access and stadium gate safety

Patrick Hitt of Lower Salford asked the board to correct discrepancies in the Nov. 26, 2025 special-meeting minutes, saying multiple names were recorded as inaudible and some names were transcribed incorrectly. Hitt requested that corrected minutes be filed with the official record and urged that meeting minutes be posted to agendas before board votes so the public can review them in advance.
Taylor Zimock, an alumnus and parent, spoke about the stadium gate and ambulance response times, saying adding another exit could worsen congestion and arguing that keeping the existing gate closed and arranging for on-site emergency medical coverage at events would be safer. Zimock also urged civility among community members who disagree on these issues.
Liz Wallace, representing the Saugertown Area Girls Lacrosse Association (SAGLA), asked the board to formalize a clear, consistent and affordable policy for community organizations to access district turf fields. Wallace said community groups have been effectively denied access since a 2019 policy change despite occasional exceptions for district programs, and she asked for published policy language and equitable pricing.
Board members acknowledged the comments; no formal actions were taken during public comment, but members later referenced the turf access issue during discussion of policy and facility use.
