Fayette County approves amendments adding tens of thousands to water plant contracts

The board approved the amendment after a motion by Commissioner Tony Anderson, seconded by Commissioner Donald L. Fleak; roll call was unanimous.
The board also approved an amended GMP for Phase 5/5A with Bowen to cover the replacement of air release valves and brass corporation-stop replacements to existing tapping saddles required by the City of Wilmington, at an estimated cost of $386,618.04. The minutes record a revised contract amount for that phase as $857,627.20. That amendment was moved and seconded by the same commissioners and carried unanimously.
