The Pittsburg County Excise Board approved its monthly appropriations at a special meeting April 6, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. in the County Clerk's Office at the Pittsburg County Courthouse. Matt McGowan, chairman of the Pittsburg County Excise Board, called the meeting to order and the roll was recorded as present for McGowan, Randy Crone and Candido Echelle.
Candido Echelle, a board member, moved to approve the posted agenda; Randy Crone seconded the motion and it passed unanimously. Echelle then moved to approve the minutes from the board’s March 16, 2026 regular meeting; Crone seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board then considered the monthly appropriations. Candido Echelle moved to approve the appropriations and Randy Crone seconded. The motion passed with all members voting aye. The recorded allocations in the minutes include major disbursements of Highway Sales Tax $794,576.54; Highway Unrestricted $441,319.55; Fire Department Sales Tax $184,916.97; TIF $170,797.00; Sheriff Service Fee $142,451.25; Jail Sales Tax $131,585.31; Animal Shelter Sales Tax $47,721.70; Treasurer Resale $47,370.10; and Economic Development Authority $21,312.74. Smaller allocations recorded include, among others, Assessor Revolving Fee $198.74; District Attorney Equitable Sharing $49.00; and Juvenile Detention $55.06.

With business complete, Echelle moved to adjourn, Crone seconded, and the board adjourned following a unanimous vote.
