Superintendent highlights staff, policy-platform move and State of Schools event

Superintendent Belleville thanked staff for Teacher and Bus Driver Appreciation events, outlined the district’s move of board policy materials to the Assembly platform to remove duplicated policies, and announced the May 18 State of Schools event at the Robert Turki Performing Arts Center.
Superintendent Mister Belleville opened the board meeting by recognizing staff during National Teacher Appreciation Week and Ohio’s Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and by previewing several items the board would address later in the evening.
Belleville described a planned transition of the district’s board policy manual to the Assembly platform: the policies will be re-lettered to reduce redundancy and make the manual easier for the public and staff to navigate. "They are clearing away all of the redundancy and just kind of re-lettering everything so that it just makes a little bit more sense," he said.
He also reminded the board that the next meeting, May 18, will serve as the district’s State of Schools presentation at the Robert Turki Performing Arts Center at Fairfield Union High School, and noted the district’s media students will be involved in producing the event.
Belleville and administrators repeatedly praised staff efforts and co-curricular successes; the superintendent emphasized appreciation for bus drivers, teachers and support staff and encouraged community attendance at upcoming events.
