Simpson gave a single cost estimate for the project and said the work would be completed over the summer so “it won't affect instruction in any kind of way.” Board members asked for additional detail before voting; a board member moved to approve, the motion was seconded and the board voted in favor.
The board did not attach a public line‑item budget breakdown during the meeting; Simpson said technology had been saving funds over several years to cover the upgrade. The board’s formal action approved the request to replace the district data‑center hardware and proceed with contracting for the work.
