Committee reports six technology and consumer bills to other committees and the floor

At its April 1 meeting the Internet Technology Committee voted to report multiple bills addressing consumer protections and online technology to other committees or to the full chamber.
Senate Bill 46 09a, described to the committee as establishing protections related to online creditors, was reported to the finance committee after a motion carried. Senate Bill 77 13a, limiting use of automatic license plate reader information, was reported to the floor after a recorded vote the chair summarized as "5 in favor, 2 opposed." Senate Bill 79 74 on recovery of online accounts for mobile phones and Senate Bill 86 41 addressing website and mobile accessibility were both reported to the floor. Senate Bill 90 97 on banned members of social referral services was also carried and reported to the floor; the chair recorded "7 in favor."
