Charles Mix County approves three drainage permits for local landowners

The Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners held public hearings and unanimously approved three drainage permit applications Nov. 24, 2020.
Vice-Chairman Nick Stotz moved to grant the drainage permit for Tim Johannsen concerning Section 11, Township 95, Range 63; Commissioner Keith Mushitz seconded and the motion carried. The board similarly approved Devin DeLange’s permit for the NE 1/4-NE 1/4 of Section 25, Township 98, Range 67W, and Kory Standy’s permit for the SW 1/4 of Section 24, Township 99, Range 67. Each approval was made by motion of Stotz with Mushitz seconding; minutes record "All in favor, motion carried."
The approvals allow the applicants to proceed with the drainage work described in their applications; the minutes do not record additional permit conditions or required follow-up steps for county staff.
