The Charles Mix County Board of Commissioners met in regular session Nov. 24, 2020, via Zoom. Chairman Neil Von Eschen called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.; Vice-Chairman Nick Stotz, Commissioner Keith Mushitz and Auditor Danielle Davenport were present. The board approved the agenda, the minutes of Oct. 26 and Nov. 5, and the bills for Nov. 24 by unanimous motion.
The board approved the Auditor's Account Balance and Treasurer Account Report showing a total of $8,145,244.25 as of Oct. 31, 2020. The Register of Deeds statement of fees for the month ending Oct. 31, 2020, in the amount of $6,651.00, was also approved.
Auditor Danielle Davenport presented detailed October 2020 payroll figures by department and a list of bills approved for Nov. 24, 2020; the meeting record lists a grand total for the bills of $354,192.62 and itemized departmental payroll and expenditures. The board set its December regular meetings for Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 at 10:00 a.m.
By motion of Vice-Chairman Nick Stotz, seconded by Commissioner Keith Mushitz, the board voted to enter executive session at 10:46 a.m. to discuss personnel matters; the minutes record only the entry into executive session and do not disclose discussion details or any further action. The commission adjourned by motion at the end of the session.
The board's actions on routine fiscal oversight and scheduling maintain county operations and prepare follow-up items for upcoming meetings. The next regular session is scheduled for Dec. 10, 2020, at 10:00 a.m.
