Finally, staff updated the commission on a grant‑funded school‑park conversion on the city’s west side, noting the original $5,670,000 grant and a phased construction schedule starting this summer. Because the grant prohibits using non‑grant funds for certain items during construction, public‑art additions will be considered after the park opens, staff said.
Staff will pursue clarification with Tustin Unified on the MOU, bring back details on micro‑gallery tweaks, and provide promotional materials and links for the interactive map.
