Batavia Chamber highlights Small Business Week events; Rosewood Farm opens Batavia market

A representative of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce gave a community-oriented update on May 4, promoting Small Business Week events, Chamber Eats (a downtown restaurant feature), upcoming ribbon cuttings and workshops for small-business owners.
"Please shop and dine local," the chamber representative urged, and highlighted specific events including an Out to Lunch on May 8, a 10-year anniversary ribbon cutting on May 22 and a golf outing June 22. The chamber promoted resources and workshops such as an AI-for-business session and a succession-planning webinar.
Julie Warpinski, owner of Rosewood Farm and Market's Batavia location, spoke about the seasonal market at 12 South Water Street, her bakery and planned classes and kids camps. "My name is Julie. I'm the owner of Rosewood Farm," she said, and described a coop-style approach that supports other Midwest producers and offers classes, catering and an event space. She invited residents to visit and find her schedule at rosewfarm.com and on social media.
The council and chamber praised the new business as a community asset and encouraged residents to support local entrepreneurs during Small Business Week.
