Rawlins County commissioners approve year-end transfers, radios, brush truck and airport services agreement

Solko moved the resolution and Commissioner Mark Mosley seconded it. The motion carried.
Fire Chief Chris Niermeier requested equipment purchases for RFD No. 2. Commissioner Solko moved to purchase five handheld radios from Sunny Communications for $10,311.24 (seconded by Commissioner Mosley); the motion carried. Commissioner Solko later moved to try to purchase a brush truck with delivery for $39,000 (seconded by Commissioner Pochop); that motion also carried.
Commissioner Mark Mosley moved (seconded by Commissioner Lincoln Pochop) to approve and sign the Olsson Agreement for professional services related to the Atwood Airport AWOS relocation project; the motion carried. Earlier in the meeting the board approved setting up an automated courthouse phone directory through Nex-Tech after Reach representative Matt Wilson said it should not cost to add the directory.
The board approved the minutes from April 1 and April 6, 2026. A short executive session for non-elected personnel was held; the transcript indicates no public action resulted from that session.
