Vice chair of Whittier Planning Commission announces resignation

Because the resignation occurred after the commission's agenda was published, staff said promotion to vice chair or any appointment was not on tonight's agenda and could be handled at a future meeting unless the commission made a unanimous finding that the matter was urgent and should be added to tonight's agenda. Commissioners indicated they would wait to address leadership changes on a future agenda.
Chair Rodriguez thanked outgoing incumbents later in the meeting and welcomed the incoming city leadership, reiterating that the commission will continue to evaluate projects based on their merits.
