Student committee wins approval for 2027 prom venue in Biddeford

Students from the prom committee introduced the Foundrion Levy (as named in their presentation) and said the venue has been booked the weekend before and will be available for the scheduled date. "It hasn't opened yet," class vice president said when asked about the timeline, but the students said someone had already booked the prior weekend, which they took as a sign the venue will be available.
Chair (name on file with the committee) moved to approve the venue "as presented," a motion that was seconded and carried by voice vote. Committee members asked about backup plans should the venue not be ready; students said they were aware of the risk and had fundraising and ticketing plans in place.
The presentation included a recognition of student effort to keep ticket prices low and an expression of appreciation from the committee for the student leaders' work. The committee did not record a roll-call tally in the minutes; approval was recorded by voice vote.
