Seneca County commissioners approve supplemental appropriations, transfers, contract amendment, equipment disposals and HR changes

The Seneca County Board of Commissioners on May 5 approved a package of routine fiscal and personnel resolutions.
Supplemental appropriations included transfers totaling $904.09 to the county capital projects fund to cover a tray for a 2021 Chevy Tahoe and several contract-service transfers ($488.18; $14,711.25; $6,756.08) drawn from ERO stipend funds for the sheriff's office. The board approved a recurring transfer to the children services fund of $100,000 (monthly practice noted by staff).
The board also approved an amendment to 4-D service contracts administered by Job and Family Services to add service-of-process duties for a deputy and update performance standards, a resolution to dispose of obsolete engineer equipment (a 1992 IHC bridge truck, two 2005 IHC dump trucks and a 2020 John Deere tractor), and authorization to pay a $5.73 sales tax charge on a Walmart invoice after vendor would not remove tax.
Personnel actions included accepting the resignation of Andrea Caskey, human-resources generalist, effective May 15, 2026, and hiring Laurie Vince as human-resources generalist effective May 5, 2026. All resolutions were approved by roll-call votes at the meeting.
