Clerk read the county estimate of $340,000 and the two bids: Advanced Excavating and Demolition LLC at $363,694.71 and Ebony Construction Company Inc. at $408,617.98. Commissioners said they would examine the bids with county staff and reconvene to discuss award details, with a preliminary review expected within days.
The board did not take an award vote at the meeting; commissioners asked staff to provide the bid documents and to arrange a follow-up meeting so the board can evaluate cost, scope and any flood-day or schedule contingencies before taking formal action.
